Hey friends, please excuse our updates.
Hi! I’m Liza.
Hi! I’m Liza.A few things about myself. I’m 30. One of six kids. I was born in raised in Raleigh, NC. Once I was on my own, I always left to live somewhere new, but I always came back. Til now. I recently moved again, and I’m happily staying put. I have a dog named Nelson, I love my truck and it’s been said that I always have something new in the back of it. I like picking up old stuff that’s out on the curb and finding a use for it, or storing it for later! My cuz calls it hoarding! I love to fish, I’m not that good at it. Practice makes perfect. And soon I will start crabbing. I love country music. I’m really good at sweeping up popcorn. I love where I live on the beach in Charleston, SC. The stars are bright and the mood is right.
I’m a good at cooking a few things really well. I like to do my own thing in and out of the kitchen. And that makes me me. One thing I love is making cashew buttah, jam, pimento cheese, and chicken salad. And I love sharing it with you. And I want to share it with YOU.
Background: In my 20′s I moved to California and went to a natural chef cooking school. After becoming certified, I left San Francisco to cook at a B&B in Canada, then to restaurants and bars, back east in Chapel Hill. There, I met Beau, who took me under his wing, and I assisted him as he made his way in the catering world. I even had my own word of mouth gig called “In your Kitchen”. Then it was a few years at The Cupcake Shoppe that taught me how to really put the customer first. I watched Sara grow her own business, and learned from her, first hand, what it’s like to go all in.
I learned from all my experiences, kept cooking for people, and alas began porch ROCKIN’ in downtown Raleigh. It became my focus, and still is today. Three years later, I can’t wait to start it by the water in such a special place I now call home.
Feed you soon!
